RJ Blanton commited on 6/20 today after some rumblings of Blanton possible committing to ND. Blanton is a free safety and will be coming to Notre Dame to play cornerback. He is a great athlete and is tall and lanky and different from the likes of Gray, Walls, and McNeil. Pairing him with those great names and added Prince into the secondary is make the secondary at Notre Dame is starting to look scary!

The question is can Blanton make the conversion or will he struggle and move back to a free safety spot in the Notre Dame secondary. I think he will be fine wherever he plays because he has a nose for the ball and tends to relax when persuing it. He is not the type of player who goes balls to the wall after someone, but will make the tackle and break up plays! Great addition to a stacked secondary already! Welcome to Notre Dame Blanton!
