| Title: | Golden Tate picks Golden Dome |
| Story: | Today has been a stellar day for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by picking up a DT and a multiposition player in Golden Tate. Golden Tate has been waiting for a Notre Dame offer since the beginning of his senior year. He is a multiposition athlete that will be worked in as a slot receiver, running back, special teams returner, or cornerback. This is why he is a great athlete to pick up to add speed to were ever you place him on the field
Golden Tate is a 5'11" athlete weighting in at 175 lbs. He is a scooter just like Armando Allen. This is a great pickup for the Irish and definately will put some punch back into the return game. A crowd favorite by most on Irish boards, fans can now relax since giving his verbal commitment today at approximately 1:15pm, a half hour after Williams. Tate looks to be used as a slot wr who will catch a little dump pass from the quarterback and move his running ability away from the defensive line. If Tate were lined up as a running back, I would see him hitting the edges of the line more then powering up the middle. If you cannot get a hand on him, he will make you miss. He has great acceleration and cutback. Tate can stop on a dime and reverse field quickly.
If Tate were put in the secondary, he has great closing speed across the field and can jump with taller receivers. He will make you pay for stupid passes and mistakes by taking INT to the house. Congratulations to Golden Tate for picking the Irish for his next 4 years. Good Luck with everything!
